Weight Loss. Let's see what worlsWeight Loss. Let’s See What Works

It’s a subject I’ve spent most of life thinking about but never talking about. I’ll spare you the lengthy heartfelt story and cut straight to the highlights. 127kgs of obeseness – hospital –  failed attempts at weight loss – SUCCESS. No Pills, No Programmes, No Diets and No Gyms. Here’s where you can read about it. What worked, what didn’t and the things I’ve learned along the way.

What Worked For Me. My Most Basic Weight Loss Tips:

Forming New Habits – Start eating less and doing more. Just a little bit at a time. Do it till it becomes habit and then do it a bit more.

Count Calories – I know, it’s no way to live your life! But when you’re getting started on this weight loss mission you gotta learn more about the food you’re putting in your body. It’ll serve you well further down the track and hopefully for all the days of your life.

Eat Less Food – Seems like a no-brainer, but eating a smaller feed will make a real difference. So get a smaller plate! We got given some funky illustrated plastic dinner plates for when the little niece, nephew and fairy girl come and stay. I love them!

Walk – Walk everyday!

Walk – Walk a tiny bit further everyday.

Find Healthier Snacks – Snacks can go bad real quick! Find better snacks that you love and ditch some of the stuff you know is bad. My replacement for lollies and ‘chups & dup’ has become dried pineapple and rice crackers and hummus.

Love Black Coffee – If you’re a coffee drinker, and you live in New Zealand, there’s a good chance you love a flat white as much as I do. Slowly ditching the sugar and eventually milk from my 6 or so coffee’s a day has made a HUGE difference.
